This holiday season, you may be home, but you’re not alone... In this fresh
and gleefully twisted spin on home-invasion horror, babysitter Ashley
(Olivia DeJonge) must defend her young charges (Levi Miller, Ed Oxenbould )
when intruders break into the house one snowy night – or so she thinks.
An enjoyable if somewhat ridiculous home invasion film that’s got as much
to do with the 1990 film “Home Alone” as it does any slasher film.
As there’s not really much of a story, to give any of it away, would only
serve to waste it for anyone that’s going to see it.
The young cast are for the most part really good, young Levi Miller as the
12-year-old son who’s left in the care of the babysitter (Olivia Dejonge)
by his parents comes across as really annoying at times, whether he is a
good actor or is just really annoying is open for debate.
Better Watch Out is nothing more than a glorified B movie dressed up with
some Christmas tinsel and will no doubt disappear from cinemas long before
Christmas comes around so if you want to see it I suggest that you better
catch it quick.
