If you like your films to be big, bold and in your face then San Andreas is right up your street.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson plays Ray, a rescue helicopter pilot who, after a massive earthquake hits California, must find his daughter (Alexandra Daddario). As plots go that's pretty much it, in between the scenes of destruction Paul Giamatti pops up as a scientist whose job it is to warn the Californians of the impending disaster.

If you’re a fan of 70s disaster films, Earthquake being the film that San Andreas most closely resembles, then you'll love this. The effects as you would expect given the films $100 million budget are spectacular.

If you’re going to see San Andreas then try and catch it on the biggest screen that you can and in 3D and then sit back and enjoy the ride.
