The Strangers: Prey At Night, the sequel to the 2008 horror movie The
Strangers, begins with a prologue that sees three masked maniacs brutally
murdering an elderly couple. The aforementioned couple just happen to live
in the same trailer park that Cindy (Christina Hendricks) and Mike (Martin
Henderson) are taking their two teenage children (Lewis Pullman and Bailee
Madison) for a vacation where they hope to spend precious time together
before their daughter heads off to boarding school.
The formula is pretty much the same as the original in that The Strangers
lay siege to the terrified family who no matter what they do can’t seem to
escape the murderous intent of their stalkers.
The Strangers: Prey At Night moves from one horrific scene to the next
each, one become more and more implausible.
The Strangers: Prey At Night brings nothing new to the horror genre and is
pretty formulaic in that it’s like so many horror movies that have come
