New York, early 1960s: The struggling folk musician Llewyn Davis (Oscar Isaac Ex Machina) drifts through Greenwich Village, with no fixed abode, no record deal and no prospects. On his travels, he meets the feisty Jean (Carey Mulligan Maestro) and the hard-nosed jazz musician Roland Turner (John Goodman Barton Fink) – and a stray tomcat who won’t leave him alone.
This melancholic music portrait by Joel & Ethan Coen won the Grand Prix du Jury at the Cannes Film Festival and received two Oscar nominations. Oscar Isaac delivers a compelling performance in his title role. The critically acclaimed soundtrack is by T Bone Burnett.
