An 8-year-old girl with special powers sets out on a journey to take her
mother to heaven, fulfilling what she had promised her: she would first
kill her and then revive her. To do so, she must take her body through the
desert to heaven, a place that they believed was as real as any other. With
a fabulous palette of colours in the arid landscape of Bolivia where it was
entirely filmed, this is one of the most original fantasy films of the
year, directed by Alberto Sciamma of “Killer Tongue”, a film already shown
at Fantasporto and winner of the Rome Festival in 1996.
