Blue Finch Film have released the first teaser for the provocative new drama thriller MISSION, a darkly compelling and emotionally charged portrait of one man's attempt to reclaim his life. Written and directed by Paul Wright (For Those In Peril) and starring George MacKay (1917, Femme), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean, Black Mirror), Emun Elliott (Game of Thrones, Prometheus) and Emma Naomi (Bridgerton, Professor T). The film will have its World Premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on Saturday 15 August 2026.

Adrift, Dylan (MacKay) gives himself one week and a mission: to truly live before he dies. Transcendence gives way to transgression as Dylan pushes himself and the world around him to the very limits in the hope of finding meaning, connection and salvation.

Backed by BBC Film, Screen Scotland and Ffilm Cymru Wales with funding from the National Lottery, MISSION is a co-production between Early Day Films and 65 Wilding Films that was developed with Screen Scotland and BBC Film.
