Set in Jerusalem during the final days of Jesus’ earthly ministry, The Last Supper recounts the Passion story through the eyes of those closest to him, especially Peter and Judas. As Jesus teaches, heals and prepares his disciples for what is to come, political and spiritual tensions rise. Peter struggles to live up to his bold promises, while Judas wrestles with ambition, fear and a dark, sinister influence that pushes him toward betrayal. Gathering in the upper room for the Passover meal, the disciples experience a night of revelation, confusion and awe as Jesus institutes the Eucharist and foretells his suffering. From there, the story moves to Gethsemane, the trial and the crucifixion, ending with a hopeful glimpse of resurrection.
